Old Rose
what can i do with the old roses cut off of my rose bushes, should i leave them there?
i have tons and tons of roses and there isnt enough time in the day to trim them all. does it hurt to leave them on the bush?
oh ya and while i am at it: what are signs of over watering and under watering?

it depends on what roses you have… if it’s hybrid tea roses, you do need to remove the old flowers so new ones will be produced….
on bush roses, some of them ’self=clean”, and the old roses dry up and fall off eventually and the rose keeps blooming… like KNockouts or Carpet or Ground cover roses….
some kinds of bush roses only bloom the once and bloom a LOT… when they’re done, removing the old roses keeps them from becoming rose hips (seeds) and taking a lot of energy out of the plant….. but there’s a lot of them… so it’s up to you, if you have the time…
since you say you have ‘tons and tons’, I’m guessing you have bushes that are loaded…. would help to know if they bloom once or all season….
overwatering shows in yellowed leaves…
under, in wilting…
over, on roses, can show as white powdery mildew or black spots on leaves , if there’s not enuff air moving around them….
